Starting at Christiania Torv—the old marketplace dating back to 1624—we head to Oslo’s main street, Karl Johan, which is closely linked to the "Kristiania Bohemians" of the 1880s. We stop at the beautiful Parliament Building and the historic Grand Hotel, where the Nobel Peace Prize laureate stays each year on December 10th. The tour then continues to the National Theatre and the city’s three stately university buildings, before proceeding toward the statue of Karl Johan and the Royal Palace. The tour concludes inside the National Museum, home to Norway’s largest collection of art, architecture, and design.
