About this experience

Begin your Toledo adventure with a panoramic view that will introduce you to the unique surroundings of this historic city. If you arrive by bus or train, we can take a taxi tour around the historic center, allowing you to appreciate Toledo from its privileged position on a hill surrounded by the Tagus River, the undisputed protagonist of its landscape and history.

Zocodover Square: This will be our starting point. Located next to the imposing Alcázar, the square was a souk during the Muslim era and continues to be the nerve center of the city. Calle del Comercio and the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz : We'll walk along the historic Calle del Comercio and turn towards the city walls, next to the old suburb. There we'll visit the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz , a 10th-century building that, after the Reconquista, was converted into a Christian temple. Although small in size, this mosque is immense in historical and cultural significance. From its gardens, situated atop Visigothic walls, you can enjoy exceptional views of modern Toledo. Toledo Cathedral : Known as the Primate Cathedral of Spain, this impressive Gothic temple is the second largest in the country and a true architectural gem. Inside you will discover: Spectacular stained glass windows. The exquisite choir stalls and the majestic altarpiece of the main altar. The Treasury, where the Corpus Christi processional monstrance is located , a masterpiece of goldsmithing. The Sacristy, which houses a valuable collection of paintings by great masters such as El Greco, Goya, Titian, Raphael, among others. Santa María la Blanca Synagogue : We will explore this unique 12th-century building, a space that surprises with its architecture. Although it was originally a synagogue, its interior is reminiscent of a mosque with Mudéjar columns, capitals, and arches, reflecting the diverse cultures that coexisted in Toledo. We will also explore how it was transformed into a Christian church and learn about the history of the Jewish community in the city until their expulsion in 1492.
