Discover the essence of Gothenburg with our immersive walking tour.
Explore the significant landmarks of Gothenburg. Start at Gustav Adolfs Torg (square), where history unfolds with the statue of the city's founder. We take a look inside the Lutheran Cathedral if no service is taking place, walk past the Market Hall, cross the moat and reach the main street, Avenyn. The street is lined with many nice restaurants, pubs and cafés. At the end of the street is the cultural hub, the Gota Square, home to the Art Museum, City Theatre, and Concert Hall. Maritime history is shown at the Maritime Centre, close to the Opera. Wander through charming Haga, first suburb of Gothenburg, known for the many nice cafes. From Haga it’s possible to ascend to the fortress Skansen Kronan for a panoramic city vista. If time admits, take a walk in the Garden Society Park, famous for its Rose Garden and Palm House (renovation in progress; summer time).
