What is a Service and how do I make one? - Job board Partner Portal

A service on the platform is essentially the information you have that is connected to a real customer and a time and date. You add information from your booking into the service, and attached the product that is booked to publish on the Job Board for guides to apply for the job. How do I make a service?

To make a service you need to have a real guest who wants a guide for a specific date and time. To create a service you will need to input enough information so the guide who will apply to is has enough information to apply and do the job comfortably.

The service exists of these elements:

• Title What the guides see as the name of the service, describe in short form the needs of the guide or the tour. Example "3 hour walking tour of city highlights".

• Booking Reference This is for your benefit if you want to refer a booking that exists on a different platform or tool you use.

• Description Here you can include all relevant or specific tour information that doesn't fit anywhere. Any changes to the product you choose on next step.

• Type This is where you select the product with the tour description you have made previously. This is made so you dont have to repeat the description of a tour or booking you often book.

• Number of guests

• Guest notes You can include information relevant to the guide about guests, maybe mobility issues, ages, if there are children etc. Anything that might be relevant for a guide to know before they apply to the job.

• Date of Service

• Meeting Point Right now you can type in your city and drag and drop to the right spot. Soon Google Places will replace the map and you will be able to type in all relevant places.

• Language Which language do you need the guide to speak. If you add 2 languages here guides with either languages will see the job and apply. If you prefer one of the languages you can specify in the description.

• Verified A tick box for only targeting guides who are authorized city guides. Note that organization around the globe might not have started verifying guides yet, so usage of this might limit your reach.

• Key Contacts This is where you add guest name and contact information. Maybe you have a driver on the booking that also has a name and a number. This might be contact at the booking partner as well. Or other relevant information the guide needs to know about.

When you have filled in your service you can save it as a draft or publish it. When you publish the job a notification will be sent out to guides in the area of your service so they can apply to it.
